Welcome to ixAccred™! By accessing or using our platform, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). These Terms are designed to ensure a safe, productive, and respectful environment for all users. They apply to all interactions on the primary domain, ixAccred.com, and its aliases (ixAccred.org and ixAccred.net), all of which redirect to the primary domain.

1. Purpose

ixAccred™ is a professional platform for higher education leaders, researchers, and practitioners to collaborate on topics related to accreditation and compliance. It also provides tools to support institutions in developing reports for accrediting agencies (some services are forthcoming).

2. User Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and truthful information when creating or managing your account.
• Respect the intellectual property rights of others.
• Maintain a professional tone in all interactions and avoid prohibited conduct such as harassment, spamming, or offensive content.

3. Prohibited Activities

• Using the platform for unauthorized commercial purposes or solicitation.
• Posting or transmitting any material that violates local, state, or federal laws.
• Attempting to compromise, disrupt, or interfere with the platform’s security or operation.

4. Community Standards

To maintain a respectful and inclusive professional space, users must not:

• Post content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, or discriminatory on the basis of race, gender, religion, ethnicity, or other protected class.
• Promote or condone violence, illegal activity, or discrimination of any kind.
• Use the platform for advertising, promotions, or marketing without prior written approval from ixAccred™.

ixAccred™ reserves the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these standards at its sole discretion.

5. Account Suspension, Retention, and Deletion

ixAccred™ may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms or engages in conduct deemed harmful to the platform or its users.

Dormant accounts inactive for more than three (3) years may be deactivated. Upon account closure, user data will be identified for deletion within ninety (90) days, except where retention is required by law or for backup and security purposes.

6. Data Privacy and Security

ixAccred™ complies with the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA) and related U.S. privacy statutes. As a data controller, ixAccred determines the purposes and means of processing user data in compliance with applicable laws.

We collect limited personal information (such as name, institutional email, and professional affiliation) for purposes including user support, service improvement, analytics, legal compliance, and accreditation-related engagement.

Users have the right to request access, correction, deletion, or portability of their personal data, as well as the right to appeal any denied request. For inquiries or requests, contact support@ixaccred.com.

7. Compliance with FERPA

ixAccred™ complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) as applicable to educational records. We do not knowingly collect or process information from minors under the age of 13.

8. Consent and Acceptance

By creating an account or continuing to use ixAccred™, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. A checkbox confirming acceptance will appear during registration to record your consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

The platform is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. ixAccred™ is not responsible for any damages arising from use of the platform or reliance on user-generated content. Users assume full responsibility for their participation and decisions made based on information shared within the platform.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located within Dallas County, Texas.

11. Trademark Notice

The name “ixAccred” and its associated logos are trademarks of its owner. Unauthorized use of these marks is prohibited without prior written permission.
